Living together before marriage makes staying together after marriage much less likely. The prevalence of this practice is the root of much of the degradation of this country, in my opinion. When a couple is living together, but not officially married, problems between the two are more likely to be overlooked, due to the ease of breaking up. If a person has a problem with their roommate, but cares a lot about the other and definitely does not want to break up over the problem, they are more likely to sweep the issue under the bed. There it will fester and when combined with more un dealt-with problems, mutate into a multi headed creature of doom after the couple gets married. The binding nature of being married tends to cause couples to be more likely to confront each other over differences, on account of the difficulty divorce adds to a breakup. Children and the co-ownership of property are only two of several reasons for the extra bonds of marriage. However, if a couple lived out of wedlock a good while, there could be a sizeable pile of problems under their bed rapidly becoming monsters. Often they all come out at the same time.The combined ferocity of these love-destroyers can wreck a marriage irrevocably. If a couple waits until the honeymoon before they even get in the same bed(wink,wink,nudge,nudge), the newfound joy of sex can make even the most serious issues between these lovebirds seem insignificant. Thusly, the problems seem easier to confront and work out, due to the lack of negative emotions that tend to lead to poor choices and the dreaded foot in mouth disease which often plagues an overreacting man. Furthermore, the new seriousness of the relationship can give the couple more resilience against splitting up. If a couple stays together happily, much more stable offspring are prevalent. The large percentage of single parent families is one of the biggest problems with AMERICA today, in my opinion. If every child was raised in stable happy homes, with parents who love each other and their children, putting needs ahead of wants, the children grow up learning the importance and ease (over time) of putting needs ahead of wants and doing for others because you love them, I think AMERICA JUST MIGHT POSSIBLY BENEFIT! Another main problem is the liberalism that is plaguing AMERICA. Most, if not all liberals I have ever known have a glaring tendency to try to change accepted behavior to allow themselves,and people they support,but certainly not their rivals, to do what they want to do, when they want to do it.(sounds kinda like an alcoholic/addict) This is especially true if a large number of potential Democrats is behaving that way, and do not intend to change. Religion is really bad in this regard. People will interpret teachings to allow behavior that was previously unacceptable, and rationalize their new doctrine by saying it is not as bad as something someone somewhere sometime did, at least in their mind. Others will tolerate the lower moral standards to keep from alienating all these people who refuse to obey THE WORD OF THEIR GOD. Often their excuse for changing GOD'S WORD to fit their lives, instead of changing their lives to fit THE WORD OF GOD, was something they heard somewhere or they figured out from other rumors they heard. Of course they represent these criticisms, usually about someone they actually look up to, as fact. Consequently, these misbegotten conclusions turn into historical facts that form the basis of new religious doctrine that, in more primitive societies, can be enforced under the penalty of death by slow torture or worse. Another big problem with AMERICA, if not the world, is the doggone double standards the liberals nag us into tolerating.
Unfortunately, in the world today, the most successful segment of society cannot say or do any little thing, any part of a less successful segment might possibly consider the least bit disrespectful to anyone they have ever heard of. At the same time the less successful segments can say anything they want to about the most successful segment.This creates a double standard that can be used to a considerable advantage by someone with low morals. A person with self respect will not be shaken by anything anyone says about them, unless they are running for office. Unfortunately, many people,who actually vote, do not go to the trouble to verify what they hear from the media, especially if it is something they have already formed an opinion about. Most people in America would not lie or deceive through the media, so they assume no one else would. Alas, the American mainstream media, who many Americans consider the most trustworthy, often is the most deceitful. Apparently, the mainstream media, as well as many other leftists (liberals), will go to any length they think they can possibly get away with, including putting American soldiers (who are risking their lives defending the very system the libleftacrats so craftily abuse) in even greater danger than they're already in. Add to that, they seem to be trying to make it as easy as possible for terrorists to strike America (now we all know a REAL AMERICAN would never do any like that). All this to discredit the Republicans enough to take control of America. Fortunately, their is a GOD, and it is usually not for the benefit of the world for people like these libleftacrats to be in control of the most powerful nation in the history of the world. I don't know how to start a new paragraph. An easily offended person often considers themselves inferior to the person who offends them. Many people, less successful, in their opinion, than others, are resentful of people who they consider to be better off than they are. But, often they don't intend to put forth the effort necessary to legally become like the people they so envy. This is usually why someone, who actually has the same opportunity for success as anyone else, falls behind. While it is true that some people get a head start on others, this is usually due to effort a relative exerted, over and above the effort of relatives of the less fortunate. Success is almost always do to greater effort than the less successful. This can be compounded when, generation after generation, less successful people rationalize their position in life by criticizing people they are envious of. Often, they will exaggerate, present rumor or conclusion as fact, or if necessary, lie through their teeth in order to make it ok, in their twisted mind, to not even try, legally, to bridge the gap between where they are and where they want to be. Some are so far behind ,due to generations of this mind set and the resulting lack of effort, that it will take generations to catch up. They use the seemingly unbearable time and effort as an excuse not to even try. Instead , they criticize the people they envy in an attempt to rationalize their perceived inferiority and misery. This leads to being so resentful of people they actually look up to, they are so easily offended it is hard to talk to them at all. Thus, we have the futility of negotiating with people who are so resentful of others, they want to kill the people they actually feel so inferior to, they have become irrational, often irreversibly. This also explains the lowdown, sleazy, cheesy, unconscionable, dirty tricks pulled by the Democrats, election after election. While, at the same time, they hold the REAL AMERICANS (Republicans) to extra high standards they themselves are incapable of obtaining. By adhering to this double standard, the gap gets wider and wider, and AMERICA sinks deeper. REAL AMERICANS need to set high standards and help others attain them, but not enable them to hitch a free ride, while, at the same time, hate our guts and try to catch up with our success by eliminating it.
