Thousands of jobs will be lost to foreign countries and hundreds of small businesses will lose out to the real beneficiary of the minimum wage hike, BIG BUSINESS. Likely, with the impending  wave of illegal immigration the dems and our  otherwise beloved president are soon to unleash on AMERICA, big business will replace their minimum wage workers with alien invaders at below minimum wage. Too, INS will probably make sure no small competitors get away with any illegal hiring. Where the replacement workers are not practical, factories will close down and move where people make much less per day than the present minimum hourly wage here. Also, prices at McDonalds and Walmart, and other places poor people depend on for affordable goods will have to go up, on account of the high percentage of minimum wage workers. The argument (lie) Nancy Pelosi brayed...I mean said, 'minimum wage earners have not had a raise in ten years' is BS. Anyone, who would not earn a raise in ten years, would get fired way before ten years or quit. I suppose some newspaper deliverer, who lives with his parents at age 40, might still be getting minimum wage. I almost suspect some unscrupulous large corporation, in competition with small businesses and near a point of entry for alien invaders or, more likely AMERICA'S best friend- CHINA (for those who have not had the eye strain of reading something I beat out of my computer before, I'm being sarcastic) being behind this initiative, which, if passed, will hurt the very people who were supposedly going to benefit from it- the poor and young AMERICANS. I would be willing to bet a paid day off against a day old donut hole the vast majority of poor AMERICANS don't have a job at all, or mke more than the minimum wage and have several young children they cannot afford. I guess they can get by on family love because they are not going to be able to buy even as little as they have been buying before the minimum wage goes up 50%. "Thank the Democrats, kids."
