Liberalism can be summed up as "taking from the haves, and giving it to the have nots". Democratic politicians add "as long as it is not from me". AMERICA became great because of the opportunity to achieve above and beyond and be compensated, in other words, get ahead through hard work and good ideas. The liberals want everyone to share and share alike. A good analogy of this happened when I was a child. My Grandmother, bless her heart, is a died in the wool Democrat. Hates Republicans. She came to stay with us one summer while my parents took a break from the four monsters who were their kids. One evening, at supper, I was in a hurry to go back outside for some reason. We always split cleaning up after dinner into four jobs. I ate hurriedly and did my part as fast as the others' slower pace permitted. My siblings lollygagged around, reluctant to do their jobs. When I finished mine, I started to go back outside. Grandma asked where I thought I was going. When I told her I had done my part and was going outside to continue playing whatever it was I was playing before supper, she said to get back in the kitchen and help my brothers and sister finish cleaning up the kitchen. I know that was no big deal, but what was impressed upon me was the liberal attitude that the hard workers should help the people who are behind, solely due to not wanting to work as hard or fast. Why would I struggle to get as good of an education as I possibly could, working nights and weekends to have money to survive, then bust my butt to get my own business going because I cannot find any good employees, then finally get ahead and have a good living going, only to pay a large part of my hard earned money to high school dropouts who never worked a day in their life, because they can get a free ride from the government, who pays them with my money. They get their raise when they have another kid, and claim they don't know who "their babies' daddy" is. I don't mind pitching in to help get someone by some hard times or helping support the handicapped, in fact, I am honored to be able to. Too, I am proud to pay taxes for legitimate government programs. However, it makes me sick when I see a mailperson getting cussed out because someone perfectly healthy did not get their welfare check on"Mothers Day" or Fathers Day" (men's checks are mailed on one day of the month and women's on another. They get them on the first and the third.) The attitude that generates this practice is ruining AMERICA, and the Demo's are going to make it worse if we do not DO SOMETHING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It is hard to be motivated to be all I CAN be, only to not have nearly as much as I can have, because I have to support a bunch of able-bodied freeloaders, who know how to manipulate the system and laugh all the way to the beer store. Another obvious definition of liberalism is- to change the accepted norm to keep from offending someone you need to help you get what you really want, usually at the sacrifice of someone's needs that you do not care about(enough)- though they probably got you where you are now. Thusly, liberals never cease to p#%s me off. However, I am usually able to channel this anger into motivation for positive change. "Well, I did, that one time, at least I tried. Nobody else tried."
